HOW TO SIZE A BAG

The first dimension stated when describing a poly bag is the width.

Flat Bags are described as..................	Width x Length x Gauge
Side Gusset Bags are described as......	Width x Gusset x Length x Gauge
Bottom Gusset Bags are described as...	Width x Length x Gusset x Gauge

Determining Proper Size Bag For Round & Square Receptacles

ROUND RECEPTACLES
The first step in finding the right size bag for your receptacle is to determine the receptacle's circumference. To do this you must measure the diameter of the receptacle and multiply that number by 3.14. To find the width of the bag you need, just divide the circumference in half.
To determine the length of bag required, you must take 1/2 of your diameter (A) and add it to your height (B). After doing this add about 4" for overhang. This should give you enough bag to fit your receptacle.
* A sample should always be requested to insure proper fit.

SQUARE RECEPTACLES
To find the width of the bag required to fit your receptacle, you must first determine the circumference. To do this simply measure all four sides and add them together. After adding these figures together, divide them in half and this gives you the width of the bag needed.
To determine the length of bag required, divide the smallest of your 4 sides (A) in half and add this number to you height(B). After doing this, add about 4" for overhang.

Determining Proper Size Bag For Pallets & Bin Liners

How to determine the right size cover or liner for your pallet or gaylord.
Example:	Length - 50"
	Width - 44"
	Height - 48"
For a Cover: Add approximately 4" to either A or B for a loose fit. For height (C) add one half of width (B) to actual Height
A - 50" + 4"	=54"
B - 44"	=44"
C - 48" + 22"	=70"SIZE TO ORDER: 54" x 44" x 70"
For an Inner Liner: Use same procedure as above for width and length. For height - add all of dimension B (width of object) to actual height plus a few inches for overlapping the ends of liner.
A - 50" + 4"	=54"
B - 44"	=44"
C - 48" + 44" + 4"	=96"SIZE TO ORDER: 54" x 44" x 96"

A Note About Recloseable Bags.
	When measuring a reclosable bag, the length is from the bottom of the bag to the zip closure. When measuring the width it is necessary to allow for the ultrasonic spot weld which reduces opening about 1/4".
