3 Mil Gusseted
A gusset is simply a pleat made into the bag. While many in the industry talk about gussets needed to account for the girth of a product, really a gusset is more for aesthetic appeal. When you put a side or a bottom gusset in a bag you are "squaring" the bottom and eliminating what are commonly referred to as "dog ears" -the corners of the plastic bag that would otherwise stick out. The next time you go shopping examine a loaf of bread and imagine how unsightly the packaging would look if the bread bag was not gusseted.
